| Artist and sculptor, Nicol has been painting and exhibiting locally and six years ago opened Gallery 5, a home occupation business. The gallery is located in the heart of an historical community at the intersection of East Commercial and Main Streets. Wellfleet is known as the Art Gallery Town! Memberships include: Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Wellfleet Art Gallery Association, and the Organization of Independent Artists. She received the Community Producer Award from Community Channel 8 (Comcast) for Art, Passion and Transformation, in which she interviewed more than 100 local artists, writers and other members of the creating community. Nicol' s oil paintings, abstract cartography, folk art and talisman jewelry are in collections from the Keys to Anchorage. Look for her booth at the Wellfleet Oyster Festival in October 2008.
